چکیده
In this work, we study the effect of modifying metal loading (0.5–1.5 wt.% Pd and 0.1–1 Sn or In), impregnation order noble promoter (Pd–Sn Sn–Pd), type (Sn In) during preparation process for a bimetallic catalyst, supported on γ-alumina, used in catalytic reduction nitrate. The deposition over metal, especially with Pd:Sn ratios (wt.) 1:10 1:2, favored hydrogen spillover rate increased H concentration catalyst surface, enhancing NH4+ production. On other hand, Pd–In catalysts showed higher activity than catalysts, as well selectivity. stability Pd–Sn/Al2O3 (1.5–1 wt.%) was evaluated long-term experiments treatment synthetic water (100 mg L−1 NO3−) three different commercial drinking waters. This achieved stable nitrate conversion duration 50 h treatment. However, significant loss presence ions (different to reaction medium, increasing slightly selectivity NH4+.

Pd-Pt bimetallic nanodendrites with high activity for oxygen reduction.
Controlling the morphology of Pt nanostructures can provide a great opportunity to improve their catalytic properties and increase their activity on a mass basis. We synthesized Pd-Pt bimetallic nanodendrites consisting of a dense array of Pt branches on a Pd core by reducing K2PtCl4 with L-ascorbic acid in the presence of uniform Pd nanocrystal seeds in an aqueous solution. The Pt branches sup...
متن کاملA polyphenylene support for Pd catalysts with exceptional catalytic activity.
We describe a solid polyphenylene support that serves as an excellent platform for metal-catalyzed reactions that are normally carried out under homogeneous conditions. The catalyst is synthesized by palladium-catalyzed Suzuki coupling which directly results in formation of palladium nanoparticles confined to a porous polyphenylene network. The composite solid is in turn highly active for furth...
متن کاملEnhancing the catalytic and electrocatalytic properties of Pt-based catalysts by forming bimetallic nanocrystals with Pd.
Bimetallic nanocrystals consisting of two distinct metals such as Pd and Pt are attractive for a wide variety of catalytic and electrocatalytic applications as they can exhibit not only a combination of the properties associated with both metals but also enhancement or synergy due to a strong coupling between the two metals. With Pd as the base metal, many methods have recently been demonstrate...
متن کاملStability of bimetallic Pd-Zn catalysts for the steam reforming of methanol
ZnO-supported palladium-based catalysts have been shown in recent years to be both active and selective towards the steam reforming of methanol, although they are still considered to be less active than traditional copper-based catalysts. The activity of PdZn catalysts can be significantly improved by supporting them on alumina. Here we show that the Pd/ZnO/Al2O3 catalysts have better long-term...
متن کاملSynthesis of Au-Pd Bimetallic Nanoflowers for Catalytic Reduction of 4-Nitrophenol
Due to the great potential to improve catalytic performance, gold (Au) and palladium (Pd) bimetallic catalysts have prompted structure-controlled synthesis of Au-Pd nanoalloys bounded by high-index facets. In this work, we prepared Au-Pd bimetallic nanoflowers (NFs) with a uniform size, well-defined dendritic morphology, and homogeneous alloy structure in an aqueous solution by seed-mediated sy...
